Pickled Asparagus
Individually freeze on cookie sheet. After frozen, put in zip lock bag. Use in Bloody Mary's. Keeps drink cool. Eat when finished.
Beet Balls - Pickled
Save liquid. Boil eggs and peel. Place into larger container with saved liquid. Refrigerate and rotate eggs daily. Ready to eat in one week. Place 1 jar of beets into saucepan, reserving 1/2 cup of syrup. Mix 2 tablespoons flour into reserved syrup. Whisk out all lumps and bring beets to boil. Add flour mixture while stirring. You now have Harvard Beets. Do a party platter (small beet balls go well). Serve with fancy toothpicks.
Bread & Butter Pickle
Name says it all - 1 slice of butter bread, folded in half and fill with pickle - Um um good! Add to burger or sub sandwich Serve on cooked dried beans.
Chow Chow Nanny's Sweet Add to roast beef sandwiches Mix 1 can corn beef, 1 8 oz. brick cream cheese, 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, and 2 tablespoons chow chow. Can be rolled in parsley flakes, almonds, or walnuts. Use as a cracker spread or on finger sandwiches. Dried corn beef slices spread with above mixture rolled in jelly-roll fashion and sliced in bite-size pieces, serve with a toothpick. Great hors d'oeuvre!
Cinnamon Pickle
Craving something but you don't know what? Eat a cinnamon pickle! Save syrup and pour over baked apples or mixed fruit.
Corn (Baby ears/Pickled)
On party trays arrange yellow in center of tray in sunburst pattern. Fill in center with cinnamon pickle or watermelon rind pickle. Syrup is similar to bread and butter pickle. Nothing like those tasteless corns on food bars. Can be cut and used in garden salads. Think color - beets - corn. Steak for dinner? Top off by adding 3 ears crisscrossed on top with a sprig of parsley. You have an edible garnish.
Pickled Corn Relish Delicious served as a side condiment with salmon. Add to corn bread to make a Tex-Mex dish Mix with 1 pint half & half to make a chowder. Add 1 tablespoon to thicken.
German Pickle (Sweet)
Cube cheddar cheese into 1/2 inch cubes Cut Sweet German Pickle into small pieces (Try not to use seed center) Use toothpick to secure pickle to cheese Peanut butter and pickle sandwich? You might be surprised! Peanut butter cracker with a pickle on top. Cut into small bits and add to turkey, tuna, chicken, or ham salad. Save syrup for dressings for potato salad or pasta salad. 2 teaspoons mustard, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 teaspoon celery seed, and enough syrup to liquify. Add liquid to deviled eggs... top with small piece of pickle. Million Dollar Meal... Grilled cheese sandwich with German Pickles!
Jalapeno Pepper & Mustard Sauce - PMS Sauce 1 6# bag Kirkland (Costco Brand) frozen italian beef meatballs 1 Reynolds crock pot liner Depending on crock pot size, use 1/2 bag (#3lbs) to smaller crock pot. Place meatballs into pot liner. Pour 3/4 jar of PMS over meatballs. Heat and serve. Can also be done in oven. Can be used to baste chicken, ribs, pork chops, and fish. Add to meatloaf in place of tomatoes or ketchup for a different taste. Wonderful! Can also be used as a salad dressing over rice. Heat in microwave to liquify. Serve hot. Kids love it on chicken tenders and french fries.
Jalapeno Pepper Relish 1 12oz. container of cream cheese spread 3 Heaping tbs Jalapeno Pepper Relish (drained) Add relish to cream cheese. Stir briskly with fork until throroughly mixed. Ready to serve. You may add more relish if you like.
Kosher Dill Pickle
Fried pickles? Purchase hush puppy mix. Follow directions to mix, but add more liquid to make consistency of pancake batter. Dip pickle into batter and drop into hot oil. Fry until batter is golden brown. Cool. Makes a great appetizer.
Lime Pickle (Green)
Great to use on a Christmas platter or served as a colorful garnish. Excellent with cheeses.
Nanny's Special Sauce Add 4 heaping tablespoons of special sauce, 1 tablespoon prepared mustard, 1 tablespoon onion relish to Bush's Original baked beans. Heat in oven for 350° for 30 minutes. Optional: Place strips of bacon over top of beans. Can be added to meatloaf mixture (before baking) in place of ketchup.
Sandwich Spread Great for stuffing tomatoes. Score grape or cherry tomatoes with an "X" on top. Spread open and fill with sandwich spread. Fill celery sticks with sandwich spread. Great with cucumber or squash sandwiches.
Spiced Peach Pickle
1 12 oz. jar of Spiced Peach Pickle Place peach halves into baking dish (pit side up) Place maraschino cherry into center Pour pickle syrup over top Place under oven broiler until caramelized. Serve hot. Great with turkey, ham or pork chops. This can be a family tradition for the holidays. Don't forget breakfast. Nothing better with ham, bacon, or sausage.

Remove watermelon chunks from jar Place on paper towel and pat dry Wrap 1/3 strip of bacon around cube and secure it with a toothpick Place under oven broiler long enough to cook bacon Heat pickle syrup Place into small bowl for dipping Excellent served with broiled tuna or grilled salmon.
